9 and feelin Fine~!

Once again we are celebrating Riley's birthday. The years just keep on flyin by. Really Riley is halfway to 18:( He is changing in so many ways. Looking older for sure and acting older as well. Maybe acting like too much of a "tween" but I will deal. He continues to shine in school and in sports. A straight A student. He plays football, basketball, baseball, & tennis ( and soccer if he had the time)! He tried out back in the summer/fall for Harrison Youth Traveling Baseball. Proudly I can say he made it and has been practicing since December! Three boys from Klondike made it and the rest of the boys are from other Tippecanoe County schools. It looks like these boys are going to do well. He is really enjoying playing and starting to hit off of live arm and pitching himself! We can't wait for games and tournaments to start! Basketball starts this week and we are all looking forward to that.

We celebrated on his birthday by going to Outback Steakhouse and opening gifts. He got magician lights called D Lites from his brother & sister. Jason & I gave in after 9 years and got him a TV for his room. We were very against it for a long time but I think he's ready for it and with it comes a lot of rules.

We also celebrated with our families this past Saturday. We had a Colts themed party and we all really had a good time and after we watched the Colts playoff game. A great time was had by all!

Not playing catch up.

I'm not even going to try to play catch up. I will post a little on Christmas. Our family had another successful Christmas. Santa made it to Maxwell Drive and the kids were thrilled with his choices! Among many other gifts Riley got an Ipod Touch, Stella got a Nintendo DS, and Drake received a lot of different toys, books, etc. We really enjoyed our Christmas vacation with each other and family. Once again this year the kids amazed me at how they really wanted to celebrate Jesus' birth. Even with all the hype and commercialism they really remember the true meaning of Christmas.
